Brian Regan and 88M.P.H.

I have been so behind, once again... So for Gar's birthday, his dad got us tickets to see Brian Regan. We went last year and LOVED it and were so excited to go this year. It was such a great time. Last year we sat so far away, so this year we were there early.
It's at Thanksgiving Point at their waterfall theater and you sit on the ground on blankets, it is so great. We got sweet seats and had a blast.
We were wondering if he was going to do all his old material, but he did mostly all new stuff, which was fun for me and Gar cause we are big fans and know all is old material. If you haven't heard any of his stuff, download it. His comedy is so funny and clean. Gar and I think that's why he comes back to Utah, he sells out here. So check him out, we are fans!!

Aren't we just to cute for words? This is us before the show started.
Gar and his band had a gig a couple of weeks ago at this fun little bar, the Woodshed, there was a private birthday party that was 80's themed so the band dressed up in the costumes and rocked out. As you can see, Gar is in a karate gee, he is dressed up at the head of the Cobra Kai in the Karate Kid... Bryan, the guy on our left (gar's right) is Marty McFly... The other, I didn't get the greatest pix of... but one is Freddy Kruger, Mario from Mario brothers, and their keyboardist is Asian so he is the Asian side kick for Indian Jones from the Temple of Doom.

They are a really good band and play some sweet tunes! Rock on 88 M.P.H.
We'll if you can't tell from the count down clock on the right, it's my birthday and Gar has the night off. I know HOLY CRAP, Gar has a night off, he's taking me to dinner and a movie and then Friday, were off to St. George for a sweet weekend together and to see Les Miz. Gar got me this trip for our anniversary... So i'll blog more next week about that trip, my trip to Vegas for work and finally the San Diego Comic Con...

Come Sail Away...

So I'm off to the city of sin once again. But for work this time. I'm leaving for Vegas today to go to a convention for work. I'm a excited because a ton of work cohorts will be there and it may just cause for some trouble. I get back Wednesday night...
I am super excited not only to party it up, but the closing reception for the convention is going to be a huge bash and the 80's band Styx will be playing. I couldn't be more excited! I will be sure to share all the fun and pix upon my return. This just may be... "The best of times"! (Um, that's a Styx song if your lame and didn't know...)

A/C and Aurora

Well, the swamp cooler last summer was a trial and this summer, we didn't want to hope that it would maybe blow cool air. So we decided to make the move and invest in central air. Best home decision we have ever made! There she is...
It has been heaven sent to come home to a cool dry home. We found a great guy through a friend of a friend and he hooked us up and he was fast, took it out one morning and installed everything on a Saturday. We had to get a new furnace since ours was the first furnace ever made. It was literally the one that was put in when the house was built in 1949. So with the new furnace and a/c, we could not be happier... and cooler!

Well, it was a short visit with Aurora this time, unfortunately. We love having her up and it seems the older she gets the harder it is to have her stay up here for a long time... With school, work, travel, friends. So we take what we can get. She was up here for a week and a half. The pic below is up emigration canyon where we all used to go sledding in the winter. Is she not so grown up and beautiful!
This is us at Red Iguana. Good mexi food. Aurora is 17, we can't even believe it. She will graduate next year. Time flies.
We didn't get to Lagoon or Raggin' Waters this time, she was happy to spend the money at the outlets up in Park City. Girl is smart, i would take shopping over a water park any day. We will see her again for Thanksgiving, so we are looking forward to that! Isn't it crazy how much they look a like...
